1967 (民國56年)
成立「弘光護理助產專科學校」，為中部首所護理專業學校。
Founded as “Hungkuang Junior College of Nursing and Midwifery,” the first professional nursing school in Central Taiwan.
1984 – 1991 (民國73-80年)
配合國家政策轉型「護理科」，落實人性關懷教育。
Transitioned to the “Nursing Division” to emphasize humanistic care education in alignment with national health policies.
1997 (民國86年)
改制為「弘光技術學院」並正式設立護理系。
Upgraded to “Hungkuang Institute of Technology”; the Department of Nursing was formally established.
1998 – 2000 (民國87-89年)
開辦四技、二技及在職專班，落實終身學習理念。
Introduced 4-year BSN, 2-year BSN, and in-service programs to promote the concept of lifelong learning.
2003 – 2009 (民國92-98年)
招收碩士班與專科護理師(NP)，擴展專業角色。
Launched the Master’s program and Nurse Practitioner (NP) tracks to expand advanced professional roles.
2016 – 2018 (民國105-107年)
設立首所技職護理博士班，增設進修部四技。
Established the first Ph.D. in Nursing among vocational schools and added 4-year BSN evening classes.
